I love taking on challenges when I have time. Sometimes life is just too busy but when I saw the blender cookie “Modeling Exercise: High Poly Flashlight” I thought it would be a great way to push the limits of my blender skills:)
It surly did that…I am excited to see the critiques and tips on Blender Cookie now that I have gone through the creative pain of trying to solve this problem on my own. I know I didn’t create the most technically clean mesh. But I was very happy with the level of detail I was able to quickly get into this model.
And I did get a “that’s pretty cool” from my 3 year old:)
As the whole point of this exercise is to become a better artist feel free to leave any comments or suggestions that you have:)
hello everyoneim 14 years old, ive never used ghicraps programms in my life before and i really want to learn this programm but this programm seems very complicated for me is there some other programms(free) like blender so i can start using them first so i can learn a few things about ghicraps programms before i start using blender?((sorry for my english im from greece))
Blender is complicated at first… but all 3d programs are going to have a steep learning curve. I would start here https://cgcookie.com/course/blender-basics/ Keep with it! Once you get over the initial hill it starts get really fun ;)
