the concept

The vision for “Kearney Praise Fest” started years ago and has come to involve many planners, sponsors, and volunteers. It was clear to us that to pull off a promotion video for them, with no footage from a past event, we would need to display all the energy and passion that is emanating from this group of planners:)

By layering in many voices and “story lines” we hoped to give a feeling of all the work and expectation that surrounds this event… the concept was to show all these different influences and stories “heading toward the event” so the video all leads to the last shot as the actors gather and look forward to Praise Fest.

the shoot

Shooting at Yanney Park in Kearney it seemed like a perfect opportunity to bring the kids and enjoy the park…Isaac was more interested in being our audio operator:) Yanney Park, really became an important part of the story…it was the end destination, but also the setting for all the interviews with “Planners” we were very happy with how this set them apart and reinforced what they were working towards… then having some of the “participants” in other locations let us show people coming together from all over to this one event… It didn’t hurt that we had wonderful weather for the shoots either :) Big thank you to all those who helped us shoot!

the event

It is great to be involved and showcase all the work and energy to bring together creative and passionate people. It will be exciting to see the fruit of all this planning and preparing on July 23!
